Columbia Metropolitan Airport is the main commercial airport for Columbia and the Midlands region of South Carolina. The airport is five miles southwest of Columbia, in Lexington County, surrounded by the city of Cayce and the towns of Springdale, Pine Ridge, and South Congaree.

You'll definitely need a rental car or taxi/uber from the airport. Public transportation in Columbia isn't worth considering.
