Thirlmere lakes has lots of great walking tracks and picnic areas.

There are 5 freshwater lakes, and as kids we used to catch guppies off the pier. Not so much water these days... The trails are great if you like bushwalking. There's a trail that runs approx 6km around the lakes. There's also a picnic area where you can BBQ.

Enjoy a picnic in a bush setting and if feeling energetic go on a 6km walk around the beautiful World Heritage Thirlemere Lakes. The take a dip in the lake to cool off relaxing listening to the birds and the song of the cicadas through the trees.
