Although the name `arco do Teles` is the name of a passage way, when Cariocas say `arco do Teles` they in fact mean the set of blocks near arco do Teles, where the buildings represent the colonial architecture of Brazil, the streets are paved with cobblestones and there are many restaurants and bars to enjoy lunch and the happy hour after work or during work if you may!

Alley streets with many bars and restaurants. Sometimes samba bands will play on the street.
