If organic, free range and home grown is important to you then this wonderful farm is definitely worth a trip .George and Cate Bennet are passionate about all things foodie and run the local Ten Mile menu veg boxes ,as well as a farm shop, farm tours and if you are lucky to be in the area for, supper nights in their beautiful Tythe barn. I cannot recommend highly enough and could be built into a trip to or from Oxford or even Bicester- approx 4 miles from Thame just off the A418 to Oxford. Open Thursday- Saturday. Sandy lane farm.net

They are a traditional, mixed organic farm in South Oxfordshire, dedicated to growing high quality produce by working with nature and the seasons. They have been registered as organic for nearly 30 years and their family run farm lies just outside Thame. It is home to their farm shop (housed in the old barn at the heart of the farm) and a veg box delivery scheme which operates in Oxfordshire and South Bucks. They grow a huge diversity of veg, from potatoes to carrots, sweetcorn to squash and everything in between! Along with their team, they passionately believe in sustainable growing methods and working with care and commitment to the environment - while producing wonderful veg with real flavour. Farm shop opening times: Thursday 10.00 - 5.30, Friday 10.00 - 5.30. Saturday 10.00 - 2.00

A two minute walk from The Pool House, Sandy Lane Farm has an organic farm shop open on Thursday- Saturday morning. Housed in an old barn at the heart of the farm, the shop sells a variety of fresh, organic seasonal veg, cakes, bread (there’s a cool mini- bakery in a converted horsebox behind the threshing barn) , preserves, cheese, milk, eggs and a selection of meat from the farm’s own free range, outdoor reared pigs and sheep as well as offering delicious takeaway coffee.
