A beautiful 46 acre preserve near the heart of Fallbrook with a variety of looping trails totaling over 2 miles through field & riparian forest. Ponds, wetland areas, and groves of mature trees offer wonderful bird watching opportunities. Due to its location, plentiful parking, and ease of access, Los Jilgueros is our most popular preserve for walkers, joggers, birders, and bikers of all ages and abilities. This preserve was the first preserve acquired by FLC. Originally orchard and farm land, old farming equipment can be spotted in various locations around the preserve. Our Native Plant Restoration Team has been busy restoring native species at Los Jilgueros and wildflowers are now abundant during the rainy season. Spring is an especially colorful time at this preserve.
