Spend an afternoon kayaking/paddleboarding in Sunset Beach. It's a great group activity. This rental place is cheap and they let you have 2 person ( 1 adult 1 child ) on the same paddleboard. Bring your phone waterproof cover for pictures :)

This is a great place to rent stand up paddle boards & kayaks and tour Huntington Harbor.
