This is a gorgeous small beach, unpatrolled but about as safe as they come and quite protected. About 10 minutes drive.

Glorious beach you can walk to. Head to Three66 Espresso, turn right at Baringa Cresent, another right at Fairview Drive and follow that that around to Lilli Pilli Beach - or if you're feeling more adventurous - peel off into the bushland as soon as you see a path to the right, and you'll find a gorgeous bush track right around the headland leading to the beach. If you're taking the bush track, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins and seals frolicking near the rocky outcrops of the headland - there's a little bench to take a moment, and spot passing whales. Amazing!

Lilli Pilli is our pick of the 83 beaches along the Eurobodalla coast! To walk there, turn right at the top of the shared driveway and walk along Lilli Pilli Road down to the end. Turn right at the Council signpost and follow the little track through the bushland. Lilli Pilli Beach is not patrolled. (Malua Bay Beach to the south is patrolled 7 days a week during summer school holidays, and on weekends and public holidays between October and April. Surf Beach, to the north, is patrolled 7 days a week during summer school holidays, but the waves and currents tend to be stronger at both beaches.) N.B. If you first go down to Lilli Pilli Beach at high tide, be aware of some submerged rocks close to the shoreline at the northern end of the beach, opposite to the wooden stairs. It’s best to stay in the middle or at the southern end until the tide goes out and you can note where the rocks are. If in doubt, ask a friendly local…
