This trail is easy and relaxing near Downtown Boulder if you're looking for something less intense. The Boulder Canyon Trail is a short 2.6 mile trail that follows along Boulder Creek. The trail connects with the Boulder Creek Path into Boulder.

Beautiful scenery. Close to the road for most part which somewhat takes away from the ambiance, but the water rushing through the creek makes up for it. Great trail to hike if you're not used to the altitude!

You can walk a good way up the Boulder Canyon on the bike path, or drive up to the Boulder Canyon trail, where there is a further 2 mile hike along the river. It is popular for jogging and biking.

Boulder Canyon, like Clear Creek Canyon, features tons and tons of sport and trad climbing with mostly very easy access right off the road. There are also plenty of options for hiking and gravel/road/mountain biking too.
