Brisvagas is only 50min south - great for a day trip if you like cities. you can catch a water cat or stroll along the river.

Brisbane is one of the nicest and easiest cities. Great food and shopping in the Queen Street Mall. Walkways connect an interesting array of restaurants and cafes along the Brisbane River starting Eagle Street Pier and ending up at Howard Smith Wharf. Eat and Drink your way around. Botanical Gardens is definitely worth a stroll and this can connect you to South Bank by walking over a foot bridge, where you can swimming at the beach there. Unbelievably nice place to visit. Every thing connects so spend the day. You can catch a bus or train directly from Indooroopilly to the city or Southbank (walk to the city via the Botanical Gardens.)
