During the sailing, we will share the history of the bays and our guests can participate in the sailing or just relax and enjoy the views. At our anchorage, you can go ashore for a walk, swim, snorkel or relax on board while a fresh lunch is prepared in the galley. Lunch is served on the boat and is always punctuated by lively conversation. We sail back to Russell to arrive at the wharf at about 3:30pm. Departing from the Russell Wharf at 10am, we will sail out to one of the 144 islands that are only accessible by boat. On the way there we will do our best to spot our local wildlife; dolphins, penguins, sharks and our wonderful array of seabirds. Once on the island, we will spend an hour or two beach combing, hiking, kayaking, snorkelling or simply lounging in the sun! Since the Islands are bird conservation sites we will hopefully even spot a few native rare birds! After having a fresh lunch on board, we will then sail back to the Russell wharf to arrive around 330pm. Other things to note We need you to be at the Russell wharf at 9:45am for the safety briefing. For the first time Makadora is opening their doors for all hat lovers to come and work alongside our esteemed Hat-maker to create their own hats. You will not only get an opportunity to learn the creative proces behind this rare art form but you will also leave with a custom hat you can cherish forever. This 3 hr workshop will be run in 3 parts: Part 1: TAILOR In the first hour you will receive a customized measurement by the Hat-maker which will determine your perfect hat size! We will then allocate your hat block as well as teach you how to use each antique Hat-making tool. You will then choose the colour of felt you would like to use to create your custom hat. Part 2: SHAPE During this segment you will learn how to block your hat using our antique tools and create the final shape of your masterpiece. You will receive a live demonstration from the Hat-maker and she will work with you to perfect your shape. Part 3: DESIGN The final segment of the workshop is the most creative! You will choose the materials you want to use for your final hat design and start putting together the detailing you envision. During this process the Hat-maker will be there to help you finish your design and brainstorm creative ideas on how you can give your hat its your own unique touch! *Each hat created on the day will receive a personalised signage with your initials in the hat Other things to note All participants will be using our antique Hat-making tools and will need basic sewing skills to completely the design of their hat

I will welcome you in my home based studio at the beach side suburb North New Brighton. This is a very exclusive, hands on experience in small groups with lots of one to one teaching. While I show you around the studio I will point out any health and safety tips to help create a safe environment for all. This workshop is a great introduction to Silversmithing. Your project will be according to your level. Before you arrive I will message you to hear whether you have a specific project in mind or whether you are open to see what can happen. Its up to you to make a ring, a pendant, or small earrings. You can bring and recycle old broken pieces of jewellery and turn them into new wearable keepsakes. Or use the silver l provide (4 grams max) You can make use of letters to stamp personalised messages into your work. The hands-on fun part is fire and flames and forging (hammering) the metal. Some of the processes are cleaning the work by hand like filing, sanding and polishing. The final end result is totally up to what ever look you like. Please contact me for any other times and or days available I'm happy to change to suit your itinerary. You don't need any previous knowledge to do this workshop. Up to 4 grams of Silver for your project is included in the price, please bring some extra money in case you need to buy more Silver for your project.

Meet David from nzbiketrails in Cromwell, ride the 'must do' 42km Dunstan Trail on a brand new e-bike to historic Clyde for a celebratory drink and refreshments. David will then shuttle you back to your starting point in our Mercedes Sprinter at approximately 3pm. This is a great day of e-biking on the Lake Dunstan Cycle Trail. This ride is recommended for confident and active riders over 15 years of age. Each tour explores a wide variety of locations that Wellington has to offer, small adjustments may be made to suit the particular interests of each group or individual. Tours take approximately 3 hours Each tour will begin at the Wellington train station then onto the government precinct, older residential areas, the botanical gardens which will explore exotic and native bush as well as panoramic views, then the cafe and entertainment scene, the waterfront, some archeological sites, and finally Wellington’s main shopping street, 'The Golden Mile’. Though this may sound like a lot to fit in, Wellington is a uniquely compact city. The only way to experience it is by foot.
