A walk in the beautiful backdrop of this lake with seasonal sightings of a variety of ducks, majestic swans is recomended for a lovely relaxing afternoon followed by icecreams and drinks in The Hungry horse if you are not fishing already here.

Great place when there is an event on at the National Bowl and during the summer months the garden is lovely. Part of the Hungry Horse chain and reasonably priced food and drinks.

A lovely walk around the lake - about 2km in total There are some interesting sculptures to see - the 'Triple Star Head' sculpture by Romanian artist Paul Neagu, shaped like a comet with its tail erupting from the earth. Also the 'Silhouetted Portals' by Wendy Hitchings - wooden sculptures on the islands have proved popular with the resident bird population!
