Great destination for hiking El morro canyon or along the beach Lounging on the beach or scuba from the beach.... not as much of a surfing spot as other beaches

Crystal Cove is one of our family's favorite places to relax and explore. Is a California State Park that stretches along the coastline in Newport Beach. It is a short 20 mile drive from Anaheim. There is a family/stroller friendly path(it is mostly paved) and numerous tide pools to explore. There is a historic district with cute cottages. There are two options for a meal or a snack in Crystal Cove. The Shake Shack is located along the walking path and offers burgers and shakes. Nestled in the historic district on the sand, Beachcomber Cafe is a sit down restaurant offering delicious American cuisine. Please note you must pay for parking.
