Midcentury architecture fans alert. Case Study House #23 by Pierre Koenig. This iconic 1957 house in a spectacular setting is open for tours. Must be booked in advance. Worth the price of admission.

This is the quintessential Los Angeles mid century archictecture that has been filmed for movies, print ads and commercials. Spectacular views of the city from the pool and living room area. Look it up online to see when and if it is open to the public.

The Stahl House (aka Case Study House #22) was designed by architect Pierre Koenig and built in 1959. Perched in the Hollywood hills above the city, the Stahl House is an icon of Mid-Century Modern architecture.
