Local artists reclaim the greenway warehouse district with studios, murals, and shops. Lots of charming dining spots. Check out Smokey Park Supper Club or The Wedge brewery when you get peckish.

The RAD, as it's known locally, is loaded with artists' studios, unique shops, and great restaurants. Look online for the Studio Stroll that happens a couple of time a year. Check out Riverview Station, Marquee, the shops and restaurants on Depot St. and the Greenway that connects New Belgium Brewery with Carrier Park.

Walkable from the studio. Also known as the RAD, this section of town is the main industrial district in town located along the French Broad River and railroad tracks. Lots of artist studios to check out along with a few good breweries and eateries.

Visit local artists in their studios to see how they work and buy beautiful pieces. We have found it rewarding to buy directly from the artists and hear their stories!
