The front beach at Lorne is an ideal place to relax on the sand, have a swim or surf. It is patrolled by life savers in peak periods so it is safe for young children to swim and play while you ponder what to have to eat as there are so many cafes and shops within 5 minutes walk. The life saving club also caters for meal and drinks along with the famous, Lorne Hotel across the road with great views overlooking the beach and town.
