Loveland is a bit less expensive (and less swanky) than the other Summit County resorts, but still has great terrain and all the amenities (rentals, lessons, lodge, etc). Fun fact, the ski resort sits on top of the I-70 Eisenhower/Johnston Tunnel!

Take a chairlift all the way to the top of the Continental Divide at this independent Colorado ski area. Loveland offers one of the cheapest day lift tickets in the state, and it's one of the closest ski areas to Denver. For other ski options, consider Eldora, Arapahoe Basin, Winter Park, Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper, Vail and Beaver Creek. Vail Resorts offers its Epic Pass with access to multiple mountains, as does Alterra Mountain Company with its Ikon Pass.

This is the closest legit ski hill to Denver. If you want to take lessons they have a whole separate side open for just lessons and then, when you’re ready, you can venture to the rest of the mountain.

This smaller ski area is a local favorite. You can still ski here for less than $100 per day!! It’s located just east of the Continental Divide. If you’re a seasoned skier/snowboarder take lift 9 for incredible views west of the Continental Divide.
