Whether it's ice-skating and ice fishing (bring your license!) in the winter or paddle-boarding and a comfortable hike near a beautiful small town in the summer, this is a great place to spend and afternoon and acclimate to the altitude. It's also easily within walking distance of historic downtown which can wrap up a full day with only 15 minutes of driving.

Wonderful lake that you can hike around or rent a kayak, canoe or stand up paddle board. Fishing is allowed but swimming is not.

Evergreen lake is a beautiful mountain lake with a nice walking trail surrounding it.
