This is also accessible from Townline Trail which is just south of the cabin. A lovely hike and great views from the summit!

Easy to moderate hiking with a beautiful overlook as reward. Informative signposts along the way provide information about surroundings of historical significance. At one point, the path flows through woods featuring grasses growing among tall maples. Very unusual landscape you should see.

About a mile up and a mile down this is a great hike with a rewarding view of the rolling Vermont hills.

The Holden/iron gate trail head is a 5 minute drive. The moderate hike up to the Pinnacle cabin is not to be missed.

The view from the Pinnacle overlooks Hedgehog Gulf in Brookline and westward to Mount Snow and Stratton Mountain, over 20 miles away. Great any time of year, we hiked and snowshoe here when ever we get the chance.
