Crystal Cove State Park is one of Orange County’s largest remaining examples of open space and natural seashore. Its backcountry consists of 2,400 undeveloped acres of land, and over 15 total miles of trails. Trails are open to hiking, biking, and equestrian use, with a variety of difficulties from…
Plenty of room to put down a blanket and not be anywhere near other people. Best way to get here is to park at the Los Trancos parking lot on east side of PCH (which is a little ways north of Crystal Cove shopping center with Trader Joe's & Javier's restaurant) and walk through the tunnel which…
Beach with free parking if you go to the Beachcomber Cafe. There are extensive trails up into the mountains too if you want to work up a sweat before jumping into the clear blue waters.
Exceptional place to explore, at the north end of town. Park across from the park and take the shuttle over ($1.00). Hike, eat at Beachcomber or walk the beautiful beach. It is so, so pretty there!
If you park in the state run parking lot there is a free shuttle which takes you to the historic area in case you can’t walk. The beachcomber restaurant validates parking for 3 hours with a $15 purchase. Tour the historic cottages and see one of the best beaches.
Just a short trip down PCH. Beautiful beach with some tide pools. A couple beach bars and restaurants as well as gift shops right on the sand.
Beautiful coastline and iconic beach cottages. Good for hiking and beach privacy.
5 miles north - the state park has great tide pools (check for low tide for optimal viewing). Parking fee.
The Crystal Cove area includes a protected marine park, some of OC’s most gorgeous beaches, a super cute Historic District complete with cottages for rent and restaurants, walking paths, camping areas, and miles and miles of hiking and biking trails. Crystal Cove State Park is like an outdoor…
One of my all-time favorite places to spend a beautiful day and the drive is gorgeous and the walk from parking lot is fun and adventurous and the restaurant on the sand is amazing and not too pricey! Save your receipt and you get free parking!
Great hiking, beaches, historic cottages and a charming restaurant on the sand.
On the waterside, Crystal Cove is a 3 mile long beach with a great restaurant (Beachcomber) on the beach and a cliff-side good food stand with incredible views (The Shake Shack). If you eat at the restaurant, parking in the Los Trancos parking lot is free/validated. Inland, Crystal Cove state park…
