Parks & Nature
A little strenuous hike to the summit, but great views to be had. Gets very busy on the weekends. If it is overcrowded head to Lory State Park on the north side of the lake. The Arthurs Rock trail is comparable to Horsetooth.

Lots of hiking and some climbing up here if you are into that kind of thing. If you drive far enough there is great backcountry skiing at Cameron Pass and at lesser traveled, but easier skiing, Montgomery Pass.

About an hour to an hour 20 drive from our place, take 287 straight north to some pretty incredible rock formations (there is a shortcut at Tie Siding if you look on googlemaps that will take you down a dirt road, otherwise go to Laramie and head east on I80 for about 20 minutes or so) . If you are a climber, bring your wide gear, you won't find many bolts here.
