The Biltmore house is about 15-20 minutes from the cottage. This magnificent home is a must see. Lots to see and do on the property. House tours, Botanical Gardens, concerts, picnics, etc. You can get tickets online to save time. During the Christmas season I highly recommend getting tickets ahead of time for the candle light tour.

Hendersonville is another beautiful Mountain town only 20 minutes from the cottage. Spend a day walking through this magical little town. Lots of shopping, restaurants, boutiques, cidery and brewery.

But everyone will enjoy this gorgeous facility surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains - it is geared towards the total enjoyment of competitor and spectator alike. The Center is open to the public. This place is spectacular! A must see jumping competition of some of the most beautiful horses in the world!

I love shopping in Biltmore Village because there are so many different types of shops from art galleries to clothing stores to cigars and the list goes on. About 18 minutes from the cottage. Here's a great link for an entire list of shops: https://www.exploreasheville.com/

Fun things to do when in town. Also one of my favorite things to do is take a FOOD TOUR since there are so many great restaurants in the area. My favorite is Eating Asheville Walking Food Tours - High Rollers Tour is the best - be sure to get tickets ahead of time.
