Good Argentinian food with outdoor seating. I’m usually bored with salads but their arugula salad is excellent and huge. The empanadas are very good. The chicken ones are better than the beef.

Old style family Italian. Very popular. People line up. I think you can make a reservation if you have a party of 6. Cash only. They have an atm in the restaurant if you need to get cash. I’m not a fan of this type of american Italian food but I’m the exception. Most people really like this place. Barack Obama used to eat here when he was an OXY student.

I love the food in this very casual spot. It’s not a romantic place so probably best for lunch. Every other place I’ve recommended has been in eagle rock. This place is in highland park, which has many good restaurants but this one is my favorite because it’s so authentic. Try a huarache, which is named after a Mexican sandal. Really delicious.

This place is absolutely stunning inside. I love the pizza, which reminds me of Naples, Italy. Even if you don’t eat here, you should see it.

All of the bread is amazing here. If you want a loaf, best to get here before noon cause it all sells out. I haven’t had breakfast here yet but friends tell me it’s great.
