For a casual night at the movies I highly recommend the Alamo Drafthouse. It is a true dining/ movie watching experience, Austin style.

If you like going for jogs you can do a 4 to 5 mile loop starting from the boardwalk all the way down crossing under the mopac bridge & back over the I-35 ped bridge. A nice loop around the lake.
