Guanella Pass can be accessed from 285 just past Bailey OR Georgetown off of I-70. I Recommend the 285 entrance. The drive is now paved all the way thru and is stunning. Take some food, have a picnic, or just drive thru with some water and snacks. You won't regret it. The 2nd pic is one from my very own moto trip out there.

I've been riding motorcycles in Colorado for over 15 years and have seen some amazing spots, this is one of them if you are exploring day trips. Guanella Pass can be accessed from 285 just past Bailey OR Georgetown off of I-70. I Recommend the 285 entrance. The drive is now paved all the way thru and is stunning. Take some food, have a picnic, or just drive thru with some water and snacks. You won't regret it. The 2nd pic is one from my very own moto trip out there.
I've taken my motorcycle up Lookout probably a 100 times. It's a very nearby road that departs out of Golden and takes you up slow winding roads to a top view. There's also a little park nearby if you wanted to take a few sandwiches.

Kenosha Pass is a great place to hike and see some amazing aspens. In the fall, as the season changes the views of the aspen leaves changing color are stunning. Kenosha is a short and scenic hour drive from the loft. It attracts many hikers and mountain bikers and has two directions with one leading all the way to Breckenridge!

The flatirons hike near Boulder is a moderate short hike that offers amazing views near Boulder and the ability to go down to the town for food after your hike! It's a short commute north from the loft!

I've ridden thru and camped in the area many times and while it's a little further from the loft (maybe 2.5 hrs drive via 285), it's absolutely breathtaking to be there. I'd recommend an all wheel drive type of vehicle i.e. Subaru with a higher clearance , Jeep, truck, etc.

He started rolling his own cigars about 30 years ago! His establishment is an amazing experience and don't anticipate it being empty! It's become quite the attraction over the years, so you might want to plan to stop by a few times just to see if you happen to get in when there some good space to enjoy the atmosphere.
