This spot is one of my go-to lunch spots. It's kind of like a chipotle for mediterranean food. Stuff your pita with falafel, shwarma, or chicken, choose a rice, add toppings and sauces. They also have a dessert bar.

This is a beer and billiards spot. A wide variety of craft beers to choose from and affordable pool tables and darts. Happy hour specials (check out their site). Walking distance. During late nights, a food truck can usually be found outside.

A spot I love to visit before or after a movie at the Laemmle Cinema.

Perhaps my favorite trail of all during sunset. Great 360 views of both the valley and city of Los Angeles. Steep trail but worth the effort to see the "Wisdom Tree" at the top. If there are some clouds in the sky, it makes for the best sunset illuminating all of Los Angeles. Can also hike to the Hollywood sign from the top.
