Alpharetta Arts Walking Tour Experience Alpharetta’s explosion of public art sculptures. Stop by the Alpharetta Welcome Center to pick up the official tour brochure with descriptions of the sculptures created by local, regional, national, and international artists. After the tour, visit Alpharetta’s local parks to see four beautifully painted, freely accessible Play Me Again Pianos, where you can take a selfie, play a little ditty, or just observe the painted piece! Alpharetta History Walk Explore the early days of Alpharetta on this self-guided tour with stops at over 25 historic markers located within walking distance of one another and seven others located just beyond the tour’s main sites. Uncover the story of Alpharetta’s past at your own pace. Alpharetta & Old Milton County History Museum Start your Alpharetta history tour at the History Museum, covering the history of Alpharetta, from its earliest days as Cherokee Indian territory, through its remarkable emergence as one of the nation’s most vibrant high-tech cities. Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:30am to 5:00pm; Fridays, 8:30am to 4:30pm. Alpharetta Arts Center Opened in October 2018, the 10,000 square-foot Arts Center includes a black-box theater space, visual arts and clay studios, digital media studio, gallery exhibits and art events. Art Galleries Alpharetta has an array of art galleries to browse: Chic Evolution of Art, Sis & Moon’s, Still Point Art Gallery and The Treehouse at Sis & Moon’s. Arboretums Explore and learn about native trees in Alpharetta’s four arboretums inside Wills Park, Webb Bridge Park, Cogburn Road Park and Brooke Street Park. Hiking and Biking Trails Alpharetta has nearly 15 miles of hiking and biking trails including the Big Creek Greenway. Wills Park Wacky World Playground – Located inside Wills Park, Wacky World is a mammoth structure of slides, monkey bars, bridges, towers and swings.
