An easy spot to spend a while in. Grab beers to go or sit on their patio or inside. They have cider and kombucha on tap as well. Their swag makes great gifts - shirts, hats, hoodies. The industrial area that it is in has a few good stops.

I can't say enough about this restaurant! A few friends work here so I may be biased, but check out the awards the restaurant has won. If you are looking for an epic meal and memorable cocktails, this is the place. Attentive service in a relaxed atmosphere and creative dishes.

This is a local spot with good food and even better views. Located directly in the harbour, this waterfront restaurant offers immaculate vibes for lunch and dinner. During the busy season we recommend making reservations in advance as it can get busy!

Toki Doki is a Japanese street food sensation! This spot is located directly beside Tofino Brewery Co. so you already know the food here pairs perfectly with an ice cold beer. Indoor and outdoor seating plus outside seating is pet friendly.

Playground for kids + Saturday Market day 10-2pm from May long weekend to Sept long weekend. Skate park is adjacent. Great sunny and grassy spot in town.
The market is so special!! There’s a great crew of local artists that come out. They are not always represented in stores, so the market is a unique venue. There are also a lot of travelling vendors that come from across island or the mainland, so every week there is a different mix of artisans. There is also live music, depending on Covid. Cash is preferred for many vendors but most accept credit card.

Here we list some of our fav hikes + trails.
The Tonquin trail is the only forested walk in town. It connects from Tonquin Beach, Industrial area and to Middle Beach with a few great view points and benches along the way. I love the forest and the beach - best of both worlds ! Bikes aren’t supposed to be on the path. It’s all levelled gravel but with some hills.

Looking for a sweet hike with epic views? This is it!
The hike is short compared to the panoramic views it gives. Go to Cox Bay, walk left to the end of the beach and there is a trail head (unmarked) in the forest line. If it's high tide you'll have to walk through some water. The hike can be a little muddy and is mostly straight up for 45 - 1 hour.

A great spot if you have kids and are looking for an indoor activity! The aquarium is small compared to larger city versions. A cool feature is that all marine friends are released back into the ocean.

In the summer, the town has a free shuttle . Check out the schedule here. It’s usually late June - first week of Sept. Try to go car free when you can - parking is hard and you have to pay for it at the beaches. It goes from town to the info centre. Rain Gear
This is a temperate rainforest and almost year round, you will want rain gear. Even in the summer it can be foggy/misty in the morning. Gumboots are super handy for beach walks too as high tide can take most of the beach.
