This restaurant is one of our favorites. The owners, Johanna and Daniel are very passionate about their food. All local ingredients, and the food is stunning. Johanna is a great host. This definitely is a “go to” restaurant in Pezenas.
Every time we are in town, we go to this place to eat, and the food and service is amazing.

We have been here lot of times, and from the first day, everyone in the restaurant is very friendly, making you feel like at home. Jean Marie, one of the workers at the restaurant, is genuine nice and friendly, always taking good care of his customers. We really love end our evenings, having a “Demi Rose”, chatting with Jean Marie, while we watch the life “pass by”, in this busy spot.

We discovered this place thanks to our friends Serge and Helene. Located in the Bessan. 15 mins drive from Pezenas. Stunning food in a superb location. Only open during the summer, and is very busy, so you need to book.
The restaurant has a relax and calm atmosphere. The dinner we had was so good, and the location is just magical. Average price per person including drinks, starter, main and dessert is around 40-60€. Don’t forget your anti mosquito spray, cause the proximity of the river, there is a few of them.

You can always go there for lunch and spend the rest of the day in Narbonne….

Café des Arts in right in the centre of the town. Is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine, or a coffee (the best place to have a coffee in town).
This is the perfect spot, to seat, relax and just enjoy be in the heart of the town, where everything happens.
Next to Cafe des Arts is our favorite Patisserie. We usually get a pain au chocolat and a croissant to have with our coffee at Cafe des Arts.

8 Cr Jean JaurèsCafé des Arts in right in the centre of the town. Is the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine, or a coffee (the best place to have a coffee in town).

The town is very multicultural, and vibrant. Various events happen in the town during the year.
Every Saturday morning is a market, worth to see.
If you love antiques, this is the perfect place to find some “treasures”. Most of the antiques shops (Brocantes), are located in the Av. Aristide Briand. If you find something you really like, you can always negotiate the price, and you would be amazed.

This is a must to go City. Just 45 mins away from Pezenas. Plenty of beautiful buildings, lovely squares, with restaurants, shops and everything that a big city can offer.

Getting around
If you are staying with us in La Posada, parking is not going to be an issue, cause your car will be parked in the garage. In the Cottage is not parking on site. There is a lot of parking around the town. Some free. Also is one free parking area that only locals know, and is located between Chemin de l’Amandier and Av. Camille Guérin. Very handy during busy times, and only 5 mins walk from town centre. If you don’t drive, the town has very good and frequent connexions to other towns and areas by bus. The Bus Station. located Gare routière de Pezenas, just by the parking located by the river.

Saturday Market - Wine Testing from the region, also food available. This is in the Main Street every Monday of the month from July til August. - Monday Wednesday and Friday most of the shops in the old area, are open till late (11:30). Nice atmosphere. This is mostly during the summer season.

What to pack
If you are traveling to the area during the summer, make sure you bring with you an umbrella and a light rain coat. It doesn’t happen very often, but sometimes you get a summer storms, and when it rains in Pezenas is not just a few drops. Make sure you pack comfy shoes, cause the pavements in town are not “high heel”, friendly. Also bring some anti mosquito spray.

Travelling with kids
There is lot of nice spots for families, where you and your family can have a great time. My favorite is Lac du Salagou. Only 23 mins drive, and le lac du Pont de Diable. This is a very popular site. The kids love this lake. Is not as big as Salagou, but is a nice spot to sunbathe, swim and relax with the family. If you prefer the beach, our favorite one is Serignan Plage. There is a naturist area, (entrance n2), and a textil area, (entrance n3). Only 5 mins walk from the parking. Even if it is a sunny day, always check the wind before heading to the beach. This area can be very windy at times

SOME IDEAS
If you like Flea Markets, there is one every Saturday in All Paul Riquet in Beziers. Worth to visit. In the same town there is a shop called Brocante du Taureau, where you can find from a nice red wine to an old Armoire. Another flea market that we love is every Sunday in Montpellier. De Payrou. Located in one of the most stunning area in Montpellier. There is free parking in Bd des Arceaux. Only 5 mins walk from the market.

There is a Spar just 2 mins away from the property. You must check opening times, cause they have funny ones. Also there is Carrefour, Lidl, walking distance, an Aldi outside town.

WINE SHOPPING
Is a place in town called Las Caves de Molière. They sell a wide range of wines locally produced. The wine in the house comes from there. The also sell carafes de rose, white and red. 5 L cost 6.50€…for obvious reasons, we love this place. 39 Av. De Verdum
