Our unit is close to a variety of great hikes and beautiful scenery. A good website to view for sightseeing is VisitGolden at: https://www.visitgolden.com/things-to-do/outdoors/.
This is a great spot to start your Golden vacation. They have local volunteers to answer any questions as well as a variety of brochures on local attractions. This recreation center is right up the hill from our unit. Enjoy a full fitness center, two indoor swimming pools (one pool is a children’s heated pool with a waterslide and the other is an adult lap pool), group fitness classes, and a large climbing wall.

There are multiple outdoor activities to enjoy in Clear Creek including walking/biking/running trails, kayaking, and tubing. It gets fairly crowded on the weekends so enjoying it during the week is ideal.

This is one of very few railroad museums in the country. It's a great place to visit with kids.

This is personally our favorite brewpub. Having been around since 1993, their motto is “the second largest brewery in Golden.” A fantastic outdoor beer garden (with a fire pit in the winter) with great brews and only a 3 block walk from the unit.
