Is it possible to say Mexican food at it's finest? Over the last 20 years no restaurant has lasted more than 2 years way up at the top of Lake Avenue, but El Patron has garnered quite a following and has been in business here longer than anybody so that says something positive about the place.

Great old fashioned coffee shop, open for breakfast and lunch. Known for comfort food. The cinnamon roll french toast is to die for ... it was nice knowing you.

I love to watch these guys cook. They have woks that are fired by F-16 afterburners. Go there to pick up a great Chinese meal.

The family that owns this place makes the best burgers around. The hamburger patties are crispy on the outside and very tasty. I don't know how they do it. The burger and fries serves two hungry people. Closed on Sundays so head to Connal's if it's Sunday.

Of course I list a bunch of hamburger joints and Mexican food places, but if you're not a meat eater, I recommend Real Food Daily as a place that really knows how to make vegetables taste like nothing you've had before. You'll love to eat like a Vegan here and not miss your meat dish one bit. It's a bit pricey, but treat yourself this time. Good place for a date.
