The food is fresh and local. There is a brick oven for pizza and the best sangria in town. Dining is out of doors and the wait staff is as quirky as the setting. Highly recommend this small place. Usually good for pre-theatre or events.

It is a local hangout for all things Mexican. The reviews are mixed but if you have a large party they accommodate you with big tables and lots of food. I like their salsa. Yum!

I have never had hot cheetos poured on top of macaroni and cheese...you will here. They are known for it. There have a full service bar with dining inside and outside. It is a place for lots of laughter with good food and cocktails.

Sightseeing
Who doesn't want to see the Hollywood Sign up close and personal. Nice, short hike up to the sign for photos of Los Angeles. Must see.

This is an iconic art space. There is gallery after gallery with enormous collections of pieces by well known and not so well known artists. The work is wonderful and I highly recommend going there if you want to saturate your art tastebuds. There are events and a small cafe to enjoy.

This is a small museum however, it is placed in Angels Gate Park, a hilltop park overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is a lovely ride up the steep hills in San Pedro, a former Portugese fishing village, now a tourist stop on the way to Angels Gate. Three for the price of one on your way to the cultural center. Also, you can stop and tour the USS Iowa.

It is a lovely ride up the steep hills in San Pedro, a former Portugese fishing village, now a tourist stop on the way to Angels Gate. Three for the price of one on your way to the cultural center. Also, you can stop and tour the USS Iowa.
Tour the USS Iowa Museum. This iconic ship is docked in San Pedro Harbor. Hours are daily, 10 AM to 5 PM.

This park is a bird sanctuary as well as a park where one can walk a short mile loop and enjoy the foliage of the season. Geese rest in the park as well in nearby El Dorado Park, south of the nature center. Bring your walking shoes for a short but fun walk.

I chose everything else since Belmont Shore is the place for everything in east Long Beach. There are shops and restaurants and nightlife lining the streets for families and friends to enjoy. Right off of the ocean, many people rent in the summer, making this the hot spot of Long Beach.

This is not your typical mall. There is a Trader Joe's, Vegegrill, many shops all outdoors with water fountain and ducks. It is a lovely place to shop for clothing, have a cocktail, see a movie, have something to eat and then a bakery item for dessert.
