People have been going to Monterrey house for years all over the metro area. The food is still the same and the recipes have not been tinkered with. You cannot beat their green chili or the salad plate.

This mountain-top oasis offers gentle hiking trails past ponderosa pines and through meadows, affording panoramic views of the Denver metro area. Our 134 acres provide habitat for black bears, mountain lions, bobcats, mule deer, elk and Abert’s squirrels, which are often captured on our wildlife camera. Wildflowers abound in warmer months, while peace prevails on snowy winter days. The 1.4 miles of trails are open to hikers, snowshoers and cross country skiers, but are closed to bicyclists, equestrians and those hiking with a dog. Adjacent Windy Saddle Park allows all of these uses.

The Flagstaff trail starts at the entrance to the Gregory Canyon trailhead, and immediately starts climbing. The switchbacks are gentle and there aren’t too many ‘stairmaster’ sections. It’s just a nice, steady, strenuous climb without too many technical obstacles. The hike will take you in and out of the forest of big pines, opening up frequently for spectacular views of Boulder and the Chautauqua area. A unique side view of the Flatirons is available on the lower stretches of the hike. After about 2.5 miles and 1300 feet of elevation, you will reach the Flagstaff Mountain summit area. The summit has many amenities, including restrooms and many picnic tables. It is quite popular to get marr
