Mill Bay Boardwalk should be your first stop to wind down and see the essence of Narooma. It is especially beautiful at high tide, when seals, fish, water birds and stingrays can be seen swimming alongside you as you stroll the length of the boardwalk (or ride your bike). The boardwalk is often in shade, so is a lovely place to be on a hot day. You can end your stroll with a swim at the fantastic ocean pool at Bar Beach. Showers are available there too.

Park in the car park at the end of the road to Hankerchief Beach, there is a great picnic area here, with table and chairs and restrooms. Venture across the beautiful estuary, where Hankerchief Lake meets the sea (you may need to take off your shoes!) and find the walking trail that winds up the headland at Barunga Point. This leads to a magnificent stretch of coastline, with jagged rocks, cliffs and high seas. It is a section of the Great South Coast Walk and is well worth the effort. Great photo opportunities here!

Australia Rock is iconic to Narooma. Guests love the chance to have a photo opportunity standing in front of the rock. Walk along the breakwater to see New Zealand fur seals sun-baking on the rocks. This is an exciting spot to visit when the seas are high!

Corunna Lake is an extremely beautiful coastal lake, just south of Narooma. This is a great place for a picnic lunch and is always cool on a hot day. Corunna Lake was historically a favourite of Narooma locals, for speed boat racing and water skiing. It is now a part of the Eurobodalla National Park and you can enjoy a peaceful picnic or barbecue there.

Mystery Bay is special. You could devote a whole day to picnicking, swimming, fishing or walking along the many spectacular beaches in this area. Start at the Mystery Bay Lookout (a great spot for whale watching in season) at the end of Mystery Bay Road and don't forget to take your binoculars. Continue south from Mystery Bay to Poole's Beach and other hidden coves. Take a long walk along 1080 beach, or enjoy the surf. This area is not to be missed!

This has got to be one of the best fish and chips in the most beautiful environment in Australia. Take away and eat on the foreshore of Wagonga Inlet, as you watch the sunset. Or dine in over the water, with penguins encircling you. An evening at the Inlet reminds you of what makes Narooma so special.

This is the most cool, funky bar and restaurant I have seen since the 1960's! Step inside and you are instantly transported to "Sea Change" with a cast of colourful characters! Chris is a charming host and this venue is a must visit in Narooma. Great cocktails at the bar with live music or even enjoy a coffee late morning overlooking the Wagonga Inlet. Quarterdeck is a bar & grill over the water, serving fresh seafood, Tapas, burgers, wine and craft beer. Check out their Facebook page for live music events and don't forget to book in advance, as this place rocks!!
