Food scene
This is my favorite sushi spot in the area. The quality is like going to Nobu in Malibu, but at a fraction of the cost and much closer. Because of Covid, they set up some really nice outdoor seating and I actually prefer this to their old indoor tables.

This place is in Encino, about 5 minutes away and is worth the short drive! The food is delicious and fresh and the outdoor seating with a view of Ventura Blvd can't be missed.

A fun outdoor mall and eatery area in Woodland Hills. Take Ventura Blvd and hang a right on Topanga Canyon and you'll end up here. This is also one of my favorite places to go because of the cute outdoor space and the good food. You can enjoy casual bites at Cava or Veggie Grill or opt for fancier fare at Joey or Il Fornaio.

Westfield Topanga
6600 CA-27A fun outdoor mall and eatery area in Woodland Hills. Take Ventura Blvd and hang a right on Topanga Canyon and you'll end up here. This is also one of my favorite places to go because of the cute outdoor space and the good food. You can enjoy casual bites at Cava or Veggie Grill or opt for fancier fare at Joey or Il Fornaio.
Sightseeing
While you're here I highly recommend taking a drive through Topanga Canyon. Your car maps might tell you to take the 101 to the Topanga exit but I find it much nicer to just drive down Ventura Blvd to take a left onto Topanga. You can drive this down all the way to Topanga Beach or you can just drive through the canyon and enjoy some cute spots in the mountains. There are nice antique stores, restaurants and beautiful views. One of my favorite places to be! Don't miss it.

Topanga
While you're here I highly recommend taking a drive through Topanga Canyon. One of the best parts about living in Tarzana is that it is a short drive to Malibu. It can take 25-40 minutes - just depends on what part of Malibu you want to go to. After all, Malibu is more than 20 miles long. I especially love that you don't need to take the freeway to get here. You can take the scenic route through Topanga Canyon and just keep driving until you see the ocean. If you want the 101, that works too, you'll still get a nice scenic view when you exit Kanaan. Definitely don't miss out going here while you stay in Tarzana.

Malibu
One of the best parts about living in Tarzana is that it is a short drive to Malibu. It can take 25-40 minutes - just depends on what part of Malibu you want to go to. After all, Malibu is more than 20 miles long. I especially love that you don't need to take the freeway to get here.
