The name says it all. It was coming up on my first Holloween 22 years ago. I had a few beers in me, and thought I'd treat the kids who showed up to my house real special and pick them out a bunch of candy that i wished I would've gotten when I was a kid out trick-or-treating.
$300+ later. I've never drank alcohol, and been back to the candy store again. LOL

Balboa Island is a harborside community located in Newport Beach, California, accessible to the public via bridge, ferry and several public docks. The community is surrounded by a paved concrete boardwalk open to pedestrian traffic, designated as a public walking trail by the city.
Balboa Island is a paradise within a paradise. This is a happening place. Despite the pandemic, there are tons of people walking around. The streets are charming with specialty shops and restaurants. If your here for gift shopping, there are many shops selling unique gifts. There are also many restaurants here. All of the restaurants are good.
One of many people's favorite activities here is to walk the perimeter of the Island. On any day, you might hear as many as 6-7 languages spoken. This is truly a destination spot.
