After 2 pm they switch to the dinner menu with is a little more elegant and a little more expensive. They have great margaritas!

An excellent local Italian restaurant. Dining is either indoors or outside in a covered space. Their Pizza and pasta are authentic Italian and excellent with prices ranging from 175 pesos to about 250 pesos. They are located on the carretera about 1.6 km west of the apartment.

Awesome Argentinian empanadas for take-away or eat in. They are located at Plaza Hacienda on the carretera near La Casa de Waffle, about a 20 minute walk from the apartment.

Ajijic attractions:
The Plaza with it's many stores, eating places, vendors and a general gathering place.
Malecon Ajijic - it is located south of the Plaza and is a beautiful walking spot along the edge of the lake.
Tepalo waterfalls - Loop is a 4.7 kilometer moderately trafficked loop trail located above Ajijic that features a waterfall and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is accessible year-round but the waterfall is only active during the rainy season.
Golf - the nearest golf course is the Chula Vista Country Club a few minutes drive east of center of town. It offers a small 9-hole golf course from which you can enjoy, in addition to the countryside, the beautiful views towards the Lago de Chapala.
Street Markets - In Chapala, the tianguis happen every Monday; in Ajijic on Wednesdays; and in Jocotepec on Thursdays. You can get fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, the best and brightest yellow chicken you’ve seen, cheeses, clothes, shoes, jewelry, and folk art. The Wednesday market in Ajijic is on Revolucion street from about 8 until 3.

of the store), some fruit and veggies, cold beer, wine and liquors. They don’t speak much English.

Excellent dental work with good pricing. A firm favorite for medical tourism. English is spoken and they have a shuttle service - the driver speaks very good English.
