This is a great local restaurant! Everything is sourced locally and homemade, even the condiments and bar syrups. You can make reservations in advance at this one and I highly recommend you do , it’s a popular restaurant and very normal to have a 2-3 hour wait time even in the dead of winter.
Try the deep fryer deviled eggs and the goat cheese stuffed peppers off the appetizer menu. The baby back ribs are better than any bbq place around , the shrimp and grits is UH- mazing here too ! But seriously, I’ve never had a bad meal here , everything is delicious!

This is the best Mexican there is ! So so good ! It’s in the heart of Gatlinburg so plan ahead. There is a parking lot (paid) directly behind this restaurant on river road so it’s pretty easy to get to.

Great Brewery located in pigeon forge and gatlinburg. Both locations are great! I love the burgers here and the wings ! They usually have live music and are open pretty late compared to most places in the area. Pigeon forge location is about a 10 min drive from the cabins .

Food is cooked to order so it’s not fast , def plan on spending a couple hours here. Close by is the briarwood safari if your looking for something to do close by . This could also be a stop if your on your way back from white water rafting in Hartford. Definitely worth a try if you have the time! It’s BYOB and very common to see people coming in with their own coolers of alcohol. They’ll provide you with cups or wine glasses. I always bring a bottle of wine

Greenbrier is one of my favorite sections of the National park ! It’s located away from the main part of the park that gets very busy so it’s a bit quieter out there and there is less traffic . It’s absolutely beautiful and filled with several hiking trails in this part of the park . There is a beautiful River that runs along side the road , it’s a popular spot for fly fishing and swimming . I like to take our kids out here to swim and play in the summer. Really gorgeous area !

Hartford TN is located about 45 mins from pigeon forge. This is where all of the white water rafting companies are as this is where that river is. There are several to choose from , we like using Big Bear Expeditions to raft with. A quick google search will pull up all of the different outfitters for that adventure.

Really cool cave Located just behind this shop . It’s not a public place but locals know it’s there. Just map yourself to the cam cabin crafts on wears valley rd and drive up behind it , thru the gate (I’ve lived here 12 years and never seen that gate closed ) and there’s a small gravel parking lot on the right with a covered pavilion. Just behind the pavilion is a cave with a deck built over top of it. You can hear the water falls inside , they say it runs under the town for miles and miles and comes out in Townsend.
