THIS IS MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN CHARLOTTE! Make sure you call ahead to get a weekend reservation. Their sushi is my favorite and most fresh that I've found in the area. Great vibe and cool seasonal drinks. DJ on the weekends so it van get a bit loud but totally worth it! Very small venue so seating is extremely limited.

Sightseeing
You can take the train for only $2 and it's 4 stops to uptown (or a quick, 10min drive - but then you have to pay for and find parking which can be painful). This has so many things to do: Freedom Park, Discovery Place, tons of places to eat, overstreet mall with shopping and food. There are also historic markers along the way and tours that can be scheduled. You can visit multiple museums: Mint Museum, Charlotte Museum of History (in Plaza Shamrock - my neighborhood), Levine Museum, Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, NASCAR Hall of Fame. So much to do and see! Also the Wells Fargo Museum is free!!

Another local dive bar that has stood the tests of time! It has a rich history in Charlotte and heavily supported by locals (google article to read more about their refusal to get bought out to build an apartment complex that was literally built AROUND it!). My best friend also met her husband here ;)

Museum
Beautiful museum! Highly recommend for any art lover. You can take the train with just 5 stops and you are dropped off just blocks from the museum. One of my fav gift shops there for cute trinkets to bring back to loved ones.
