Merciers Van is a great go to for coffee and gelato. The van usually resides next door to Kanpai Japanese restaurant at 32 Bowen Street, opposite White Sands Park. Handy if the kids are playing on the climbing spider!

Well organised and professional outfit. This company also offers snorkelling with the whales as they migrate past Jervis Bay. I would only recommend this particular activity if you are a confident swimmer and have good snorkelling skills as you are swimming in deep water. Having said that, the divemasters and skippers are very professional and safety conscious, you will be well looked after. I have dived with them myself.

If you are interested in seeing where Arthur Boyd drew much inspiration for his paintings this is a must see. Nestled on the Shoalhaven River this amazing place is still visited by the descendants of Arthur Boyd. His studio is intact and the whole area has a beautiful serenity to it. Take a picnic and sit on the lawn and enjoy the day. It's beautiful.
The road is narrow and winding towards the end so please take care. Don't rush, if you drive carefully it will take alsmost an hour to get there.

Take a picnic and sit on the lawn and enjoy the day. It's beautiful.

Swimming, snorkelling, sun worshipping
Huskisson Beach is our local beach. 5 minutes walk to safe swimming and snorkelling from the Teahouse. There are BBQ's under cover, showers and toilets. There is also a playground with a smaller climbing spider for the kids. Load up the beach gear into the trolley in the yellow shed and enjoy a picnic. Huskisson Beach
Huskisson Beach is our local beach. 5 minutes walk to safe swimming and snorkelling from the Teahouse. There are BBQ's under cover, showers and toilets. There is also a playground with a smaller climbing spider for the kids. Load up the beach gear into the trolley in the yellow shed and enjoy a picnic. Walk south towards Moona Moona Creek if you want shallow sheltered water for the littlies.
The bike/walking track runs parallel to Collingwood Beach all the way to Vincentia. Head towards Moona Moona Creek and continue over the bridge. There are plenty of walkways down to Collingwood Beach along the way.

Hyams Beach has very limited parking. The best way to see it in peak times is to walk from Greenfield Beach. It takes around 20 minutes and is ok with kids. There is a lovely little cafe at Hyams, the only one and very busy. Check opening times before going. The only place to buy anything in Hyams Beach. Takeaway and seating.
