This is a great place to have a nice dinner or just drinks and appetizers. The view of the valley is breathtaking. You can sit on the patio next to a fire pit and soak it all in. : )

Delicious Thai food market open to the public every Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 5pm. Within walking distance from the guest house. Enjoy some pad Thai and fried bananas.

There’s nothing fancy about Roscoe’s but they’re famous for their delicious chicken and waffle combo. It’s so popular... sometimes there’s a line and their t-shirts sell out.

At almost 1000 ft above ground, this is the highest restaurant west of the Mississippi. So, it goes without saying, the views are spectacular!
Located in the US Bank building, in downtown L.A. Reservations are required, unless you’re only going to the Skylounge bar (large parties need reservations though).
And the food is fabulous!

This is a really fun/hip/trendy outdoor flea market that is “so LA”. There are new handmade items, as well as vintage pieces, clothing, furniture, etc. There’s also a food court with an assortment of great food and live music.

Sightseeing
If you enjoy hiking, you’ll love this hike to the Hollywood Sign. There are excellent photo opportunities and if you go to the top, you’ll be above and behind the sign. You’ll want proper shoes, plenty of water, and sunscreen. This hike can easily be 4 hours round trip, but I think it’s worth it.

See the Hollywood Sign on horseback! They have 1 and 2 hour rides. This is so much fun, but if you’re afraid of heights, I don’t recommend.

Take a day trip up to Santa Barbara by train! This is such a beautiful way to see the coast and only about $55 round trip. You’ll want to take a short Uber to the Van Nuys train Station in the morning, but first you’ll need to purchase tickets at Amtrak.com. If you have any questions about it, please let me know.
