This place is only for the true fan of Banh Mi. With all of the construction around it (light rail, woot!) and the war-torn-looking parking lot, you must believe that Mr. Le's pork banh mi is worth the journey. And yes, it is! You can find the shop inside the old Asian Corner mall, behind the grocery store on the right.

This is the second-best Vietnamese restaurant I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot of 'em all over the US. The first-best - in case you're wondering - moved too far away, and I don't know if they're as good as they used to be. So now Lang Van is my favorite!

I love the brisket but a mixed plate is a great way to try it all. Caveat: my friends who love bbq chicken do not love it here, but the other smoked meats a delish!

I'm partial to brown ale, and Birdsong's Lazy Bird Brown is my favorite! They have a great selection of their latest brews as well as a kombucha offering or two. Dog friendly and great spaces indoors and out. Also usually there's a food truck on hand so you can hang out all evening.

While I hesitate to recommend someplace all the way across town (um, like 10 minutes away!), this is an amazing brewery and should be recognized as such. There's a whole other brewery scene in South End you can check out if you're ready to venture away from our lovely NoDa!

Funky cool clothing store that was outfitting hipsters before that was a thing! I love that they provided a lot of the clothing for "Talladega Nights" when that was filming nearby. Really nice folks run the place as well.

If you love TJ's like I love TJ's, you'll feel that the nightmarish parking deck is worth the effort. ;) Great place for reasonably-priced organic groceries and interesting snacks you'll find nowhere else.

I actually never go to this grocery store (probably because I was a Food Lion cashier when I was in high school). However, it's mighty convenient if you're staying in NoDa and they recently remodeled the store.
