Food Scene

Byron is an excellent chef and makes everything himself. The best pies, sausage rolls, wraps and other scrumptious food. Great coffee too. Sit outside on the pavement and enjoy the winter sun. Dog friendly.

John and Jane will look after you very well. Jane cooks lovely home-style lunches and you can't find anywhere better for scones with jam and cream.

Drinks & Nightlife

Not a lot of nightlife in our tiny village but the local pub is a good place to meet the locals. She is a very old pub and has its original features still intact. A good place for a food pub meal at the Thistle restaurant. (not open Mon-Tues).

Sightseeing

Berrima is an historic village about 27minutes from the Lodge via Moss Vale. It is on the old Hume Highway and was once a major town on the route to Canberra/Sydney. A charming place to visit. The old goal, court house and other historic points of interest will keep you occupied for hours. Have a beer at the oldest continuously licenced inn in Australia - The Surveyor General Inn and if you happen to be there on the 4th Saturday of the month - visit the The School Yard Markets, they are well worth a look. http://berrimavillage.com.au/
