This is our little East Asheville wonderful restaurant, if you want something closer than downtown. Reservations are now needed at night because it has become so popular, but not during the day. It is not super expensive, their menu is online. They have the tastiest little burgers in town and the deep fried brussel sprouts are scrumpdillyicious (for real). Full bar and local brews.

During the day, this little historic building is a coffee bar and pastry shop (yummy). At night it becomes a full bar and small plates bistro (Post 70 Indulgence Bar). Filo/Post 70 and Copper Crown are our nearby fun spots, along with the Los Tacotes Food Truck parked on Highway 70 at the Root Bar (Root Ball - like bocce ball - is played in the back, affectionally termed "dive bar" in the front).

Filo Pastries & Post 70 Indulgence Bar

Filo/Post 70 and Copper Crown are our nearby fun spots, along with the Los Tacotes Food Truck parked on Highway 70 at the Root Bar (Root Ball - like bocce ball - is played in the back, affectionally termed "dive bar" in the front).
I couldn't really find the right category for the Root Bar. It's not a restaurant, and I prefer to go in late afternoon not at night, so I am putting it here. We affectionally call this our nearby "dive bar." Not fancy at ALL, in fact the opposite. But they have a pool table, are very friendly, AND in the back they play Root Ball, which is a bit like bocce ball. The Los Tacotes Food Truck is usually parked in the front, and they serve up authentic Mexican burritos (not all the rice and beans, it's all about the meat and vegies and peppers). The pork tacos are delish. Root Bar kindly allows patrons to come inside with their food truck goodies, and order up a cold brew.
