Very inexpensive but good home-style tacos & burritos. DO NOT go to Taco Bell when you can go here. Ask for the chicken tostada -- it's not on the menu but they'll make it.

Venerable coffee place with good food. Gets crowded so pick your time wisely. The restaurant is on one side and the coffee place is on the other. My mom, a sexagenarian coffee-holic, said the coffee took the top of her head off.

Diego himself serves up your gourmet meal in this tiny, unassuming but very high-quality place. Great prices for the level of cheffery involved! Check the hours before you go - they're kinda strange. Worth it!

Since the 1930s farmers have been selling their fresh on this corner. A little pricey and touristy today, if you go early or later it's excellent local color. Upstairs dining room is a good place to take your tray after you've found your fave of the many many offerings here. Live music weekends.
