Petworth is a pretty village not far from us full of boutiques, antiques, book shops and cafes. Lovely for an afternoon browsing in a traditional British village. Its relaxed cobbled streets are perfect to wander around and explore.

Goodwood Festival of Speed & Goodwood Revival
Quite possibly two of the most unique events in the UK. The Festival if Speed is an annual event and celebration of modern motoring, luxury, food and dress. We first saw the Oak framed barn guests will stay in exhibited at Goodwood FoS.
Revival is like stepping back in time, dress in the costume of its heyday from the early 1930's to 1970's. See the cars of the era race the iconic track and hillclimb and eat at the Officers Mess. Quite possibly the best event ever!

This is a lovely pub that you can easily walk to from our house via the fields. It's about a 30 minute walk down through the estate, they are dog friendly. In the summer there is plenty of outside seating but in the winter you should book to avoid not getting a table.

This is just an amazing spot. Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Definitely book in advance, its about a 20 minute drive from us but so worth the trip.

This pub has a great location on the edge of the village green. The food is fantastic and they host events on the Green. Very quintessentially English. Book in advance for food.
