Yes?Then WINTER GREEN is for you! An affordable, off grid, sustainably crafted hut in the city of Bath

Winter Green is only available between November 15th and January 15th every year. Your hut is 4m long by 2m wide. it is built from locally sawn red cedar wood and furnished with recycled materials.
Inside you will find a very comfy fixed double bed and a couple of narrow bench beds for visitors. Also inside is a one ring gas hob for hot drinks, a woodburning stove, a sink for teeth brushing, a decanter for water and some small storage areas. you have a large remote (5m away) , basically equipped kitchen area and shower for cooking and washing. Your instant gas heated shower runs off ceramic filtered underground spring water .You have your own compost toilet at an 8m distance to the rear of the hut. It will be empty when you arrive and emptied by me once a week. The hut is a 200m walk down my field, away from the towpath and your car parking space .

This is an awesome neighbourhood. Bath is the second safest city in the UK but it is also a vibrant centre for cultural activities and entertainment. The city features countless historical marvels and many beautiful walks, all achievable on foot from your door. great museums, pubs, restaurants , theatre and vintage cinema all within easy reach.

Hi there, Ive spent my life exploring alternatives to the rat race. Self reliance is central to it and living responsibly from natural resources .
I've been off grid for 30 years and on this land for ten. In Jan 2020 I finished building the shepherd's hut and fitting out the caravan and I'm delighted to invite others to my green, clear water and fresh air space by launching this little glamping project.

I am immediately available on the phone as well as trying to answer messages on air bnb , between 9am and 9pm, within the hour.
I live on site and will usually be physically present unless on errands or out and about. On occasions I may go away for a night or two. My grown up children will usually be on site when I am not.
I will always come and say Hi at first opportunity after checkin and leave you alone thereafter unless needed.
I will always respond to phonecalls which , after 9pm, should be emergencies only.
