You want to feel like a local? Stay Here!!! Our small but spacious 1921 carriage studio with original heart pine floors has vaulted pine paneled ceilings. Full of character!!!

The studio feels very cozy and secluded, it overlooks a park, museum & is short walking distance to grocery store, numerous restaurants, coffee shops, events, entertainment. Downtown,, Midtown, Plaza District & Paseo Arts, Uptown 23rd, business district and sports venues. Five minute drive to OU Health Science Center.

The studio is completely detached from the main house ensuring total privacy and is located in a fully gated/fenced backyard of the main structure a 1920's brick duplex.

The Studio is on second floor with Stair Access Only.

Sheltered by almost 100 year old trees. Surrounded by big windows, high ceilings, seeming larger than it actually is, fully furnished with quality furnishings and art , comfortable decor, loads of books and super clean.

The carriage studio has an efficiently equipped complete kitchen. (Note: I don't have a dishwasher. So that would be you.) Cook if you wish. Put your groceries in the full size refrigerator. There is a french press and Keurig. Coffee various hot and cold tea options in the drawers below the island. There is a toaster oven and a Nutri bullet blender, pots, pans and baking sheets under the island counter.

I usually stock the refrigerator, butter, jam, maple syrup, half and half. Sometimes other things will show up. We check for expirations. Anything in the refrigerator is for you to consume.

Extra thick towels, hairdryer, shampoo, magnifying mirror, first aid kit, manicure kit, etc. in the bathroom cabinet alcove.

The space can most comfortably accommodates one or two people with a very comfortable brand new (2016) Serta FULL size bed.

Free, private, high-speed Wi-Fi and consistent connection, especially great if you're here for work. Spread your work out on the well lit large soapstone work space. Yes I splurged!!!

Flat screen TV w/Cable. Bluetooth VCR, you can connect to Netflix Hulu, Roku and what I think is a good collection of DVD's .

Music - I have a Ihome iHM51 stereo alarm clock that lets you charge and play music your smartphone. Wake and sleep to FM radio or your mobile device. I also have a CANZ bluetooth speaker that works wonderfully with your mobile storage space in closets at the head and foot of bed.

One closet for hanging and the other fitted with shelves for folded extras and luggage. Also a luggage rack is there if you prefer to live out of your suitcase.
There is an iron/ironing board, broom, dust mop in the closet with rod.

For guests with weekly stays, with advance scheduling our laundry/mud room is available for free with a 2 washer/dryer sets.

I live in the front duplex and I am available for guests to provide itineraries and places to eat, drink, shop, etc.

*The studio is not suitable for small children or pets, too many books & objects at very low reachable levels and most important, an open staircase.

My neighborhood is a picturesque historic neighborhood; very beautiful with diverse architecture, tree canopied streets and peaceful. Probably the most storied historic neighborhood in Oklahoma.
THE MOST walkable neighborhood (walk score 78) in the city with sidewalks and rolling elevations to get your cardio in. Very short stroll to restaurants, bars, gyms, yoga studios and new shops opening up ALL the time.
The fact that it is on the north side of Midtown, Downtown, southside of Uptown/Paseo and east of Plaza District and everything happening in Oklahoma City, makes it one awesome Location. The best of all OKC world.

I am a designer.
I am part of an urban preservation re development group. We have been involved in the OKC inner core since the early 80's. Beginning in historic homes and then blighted abandoned commercial buildings. We continue to repurpose, re imagine historic properties as well as new infill construction in OKC's downtown area.

Our various listings are an example of our total passion for improving the inner city's built fabric. We enjoy watching the emergence of a thriving, energetic environment.

We are open & friendly people, who in turn expect to host friendly and honest people. We love our rescue cats and dogs like the family they are to us. We consider ourselves good company, good humor, open-minded, collaborative and hopefully useful when giving directions to the city so that you feel comfortable and safe.
