Escape the the Country

Welcome to Skibo House, a place where you can relax in comfort and enjoy all that the Margaret River Region has to offer. Situated just 2.2km from the beautiful little town of Witchcliffe and 8.5km south of the main town of Margaret River, you are close enough to everything whilst at the same time feeling miles away.

Skibo House is named after Skibo Castle, an enchanting castle in the Northern Highlands of Scotland. This house is perfect for families. Your children will delight in making their own memories in the play area, let their imaginations run wild as they pretend to be in a genuine Scottish Castle! The extensive 5 acre grounds of the property allow for hours of outdoor and nature play, while the parents can relax playing Finska or Bocce in the dedicated games area, while there is a fire pit that you are welcome to use during the winter months. (Although restrictions apply over the summer months, please check with for the latest fire information and fire bans).  The front gate to the house sits on the Wadandi Track, allowing for easy bike access to Margaret River and beyond, while at the end of the road is the rear entrance to the world-famous Leeuwin Estate where you can escape for long and lazy lunches.

Upon entering the home, the main living, dining area, and kitchen are filled with light from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows and doors on both sides of the house; which open out in the summer to let cooling natural breezes through the space. The large kitchen area is big enough to cater for a full family-cook-up, and there is an adjacent butlers pantry with sink and washing-up facilities. The main living area and all bedrooms are comfortably warmed and cooled by fully ducted air conditioning.

The master bedroom features a large ensuite with twin basins and an extra-deep bath. There are 3 other bedrooms in the house and a further 2 bathrooms and powder room. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have queen beds, and bedrooms 4 has tri-bunk (double on the bottom, single on the top). There is a TV/playroom for the kids adjacent to bedrooms 4.

This property is pet friendly, but we respectfully ask that pets are not allowed on the furniture or in bedrooms, that pets are well behaved around the neighbouring properties and are responsible around the landscaped and reticulated areas. The perimeter fencing on the property is rural-style post and wire, some dogs may be able to get through the fence so supervision is required.

Linen is optional at this property & can be ordered by contacting our bookings team at any time by phone, email, in-App messaging, or on our website during the checkout phase of booking. The linen pack includes the bed made with top & bottom sheets, pillows cases, bathroom towel(s), bathmat, hand and face towel(s). K, Q or D $65, S $35, Twin Bunk $70, Tri Bunk $90. If you do not wish to purchase the linen package, you will need to bring the above.

This property is self-catering, however a starter pack of toilet paper, hand soaps, dishwasher tablets, dishwashing liquid, sponge & bin bags is provided.

School Leavers: We do not accept any school leavers bookings at any time of the year.

Shire of Augusta Margaret River regulations allow holiday homes to be rented for accommodation purposes only and not as a function venue eg. for a party or wedding. Functions and gatherings are not permitted and, if evidenced, may be closed down immediately. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. Large groups of adults will not be accepted to stay at this property. This house is for family gatherings only. There is a noise bond that will be forfeited if there are any noise complaints from neighbouring properties.

Please be aware that noise complaints are a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in forfeit of your bond. Guests may be evicted and/or their security bond forfeited in full. Out of respect for the neighbours, there is a strict limit on noise from the house and outdoor areas at all times. Music must be completely off by 10pm.

We take our responsibility to our neighbours very seriously. Any breaches of noise limits will result in the loss of your noise bond.
