The villa will provide a space for connection, relaxation, and views of the best sunsets around. The villa is located on a private residential street in the Maya Beach community and a short 300 yards from the blue waters of the Caribbean. Maya Beach is only 6 miles from the vibrant Placencia Village and jumping-off point for many of the fantastic excursions Belize has to offer.

The Space

The villa sits on the water’s edge to maximize the views across the lagoon to the Maya Mountains. Whether you cool off in the private pool or take advantage of the many outdoor verandas and decks you will have a front-row seat to nature’s beauty. The villa offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, an outdoor shower (hot/cold water), and ground level bathroom.

The modern chef kitchen was designed to maximize water views and provide a top-notch space for creating delicious meals. It features stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and wine refrigerator. We provide all the kitchen utensils/cookware as well as a drip coffee pot and coffee grinder.

The décor adds to the charm and elegance of the villa and features custom designed furniture using local wood. You will find beautiful paintings throughout the house highlighting the work of local Belizean artists. The three levels of this well-decorated villa include a long list of comforts and amenities.

The villa is located in Maya Beach, Placenica, appx 6 miles from the vibrant Placenica Village. The Placencia Lagoon is at your front door for exploration in the complimentary kayaks. We frequently have sightings of manatees, stingrays, tarpon, dolphins, and many species of birds. The beaches of Belize are public and we have beach parks a short 5-10 minute walk from the villa. You can also drive to Placencia Village to explore the beaches, shopping, dining, and produce stands.

This is a residential neighborhood and noise travels along the shore of the lagoon. Absolutely NO music outside after 8pm and quiet hours start at 9pm. If you choose to enjoy the stars outside after 9pm please be mindful of noise levels.

Our family resides in Seattle, WA and we love all the Pacific Northwest has to offer. We enjoy hiking, camping, backpacking, flora and fauna identification, and snorkeling/diving. We are an easy going and laid back family that loves to travel, explore, and learn new cultures. We have a vacation home in Placencia, Belize and it is an honor to host guests.

Our love for Belize started in 2008 when we (minus children) stumbled upon a small country in Central America. We instantly fell in love with Belize during our weeklong stay on the Caribbean Caye (island) of Caye Caulker. The people, culture, hospitality, food, and beauty hooked us... we knew we found a special place.

In 2018 we decided on the Placencia Peninsula where we purchased a vacant lot and built our custom-designed villa on the water’s edge of the Placencia Lagoon in Maya Beach. With the close proximity to the beach and the benefits of being lagoon front, incredible wildlife viewing and views of the mountains, we knew we wanted to call this place home.

Construction finished in October 2020 and we have since been enjoying our slice of paradise and welcoming guests.
We are delighted to have a home for our family and friends to spend time at, connect, and make memories. Our daughters are quickly developing their own adventurous spirit and enjoying all Belize has to offer.

The villa is a private self-contained property and our staff do NOT live onsite. The property managers and owners are easily available to answer questions and make recommendations.

- The property manager comes onsite 2-3 days per week to water plants, perform grounds keeping duties, general maintenance, etc. He is available if you need anything but will not get in your way. He may ask to come up on the veranda to water the potted plants.

- The housekeeping manager can arrange additional cleaning service, nanny/babysitting service, or make private family-style meals at an additional fee

- Pool service will also occur during your stay.
