Add to that a woodfire pizza oven, fire pit, BBQ, dartboard and outdoor games, and there’s seemingly no need to venture beyond the garden gate.... except the beach - only 200m away!

Built ourselves, over the space of a year, we have a passion for global travel, we channelled our wanderlust into creating our very own beach cabin. Drawing inspiration from our favourite destinations across the world, we have created a unique, exciting, fun abode that represents a little slice of Surf Coast paradise.
Beautifully presented with oceanic decor, this recently completed home is a place to retreat for relaxation and seclusion, just a 200m walk from the beach and 10-min stroll to Torquay’s town centre
The space
The coastal boho aesthetic is intrinsic to our home, setting the tone for calm and tranquility upon arrival at this Surf Coast beach house. From the moment you arrive, you will be greeted by palms, cacti and an outdoor shower. A bamboo fence-line is the backdrop to tropical gardens and relaxed holiday vibes, leading to a backyard that offers restful spots to sit, swing, cook, lay and play.

The beach will beckon though, and being only 200m away means you can walk there in your boardshorts for multiple swims a day. No need for the car, bingo.
Inside, the beachside atmosphere has been captured beautifully. Uplifting, fresh white-washed interiors are amplified by high cathedral ceilings and skylights, furnished with natural tones and greenery that envelope you in this totally private lifestyle haven. Adaptable furniture makes the most of the space; reconfigure the lounge to sit by the fireplace, or open up the bifold doors and sit enjoying the west views over the deck... Convert the kitchen island into a dining table with 6 cane stools. Serve breakfast or arvo drinks from the kitchen servery window to the outdoor bar. It’s a clever and sincere place, with an innate sense of fun and light-heartedness that makes you smile and appreciate the passion that has gone into our family’s project.
The open plan lounge offers chill out space, with functionality and comfort. A Smart TV gives you access to all your fave shows, plus wifi and Sonos. Upstairs, the loft offers a versatile living space with a comfy daybed, TV, and built-in desk. Board games, a portable A/C unit, washing machine and dryer are all provided. Immaculately styled, homely and welcoming, the kitchen features all the essentials for cooking at home, including a coffee machine.
Bringing the kids? Too easy. Kids will love being able to explore the backyard with a cubbyhouse and slide, and parents will appreciate the secure, fully fenced yard. The kids will love their room, complete with a desk and toys to make this room their own... Children’s toys, plastic tableware and a small baby bath are all on-site to make family holidays a breeze.
Two more bedrooms include a master with King-size bed and bamboo canopy, plus direct access to the deck. Both this and the 2nd bedroom (Double bed) have Smart TV’s with Netflix connectivity. All bedrooms have an abundance of natural light and space, and are beautifully appointed with hotel quality sheets and bath towels, making your stay as pleasurable as possible. The central bathroom has a pebbled walk-in shower and large vanity with brushed brass tapware.

This is your space to unwind, whilst enjoying all the convenience of being close enough to walk or ride to the beach, parks, local shops and cafés. Family-friendly White’s Beach, Fisherman’s Beach and Cosy Corner are on your doorstep, while Torquay Back Beach and scores of waves are on offer for experienced surfers all the way to the famed Bells Beach.
By sharing their pad with others, we can get back on the road ourselves, and let guests experience “The Hideaway”. Our ethos is for everyone to be able to enjoy what they have created, including their local knowledge so you have the most amount of fun in Torquay. Pet friendly, by request
